World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XXXIX
I was called Frithjof; for my father dreamt
I was called Frithjof; for my father dreamt
Of the wild fjords in the far north.
The soul feels at ease in Freyja’s
Frihet gar ut fron den ljungande Pol.
However: Basel is my home
Where the Rhine goes on its way,
Until it flows up into the North Sea;
Just as the soul finds its way to the Infinite.
Déboucher, tout en haut, dans la Mer du Nord ;
Bis er, dort oben, in die Nordsee mündet;
So wie die Seel das Grenzenlose findet.
