Objectivity — holding fast to the thing
Objectivity — holding fast to the thing
That has its own existence apart from ourselves.
And with it comes the holy radiation of the
Something of ourselves; the Lord, in His Compassion,
Watches faithfully over our selfhood.
Hold strictly to that which is as such;
Pay thy debt to realities;
Forget not that thou too art
God knows thee. With the world, be patient.
L’objectivité — s’en tenir à la chose

Qui en dehors de nous a sa propre existence.
A cela s’ajoute la sainte irradiation du cœur —
Quelque chose de nous ; le Seigneur, dans Sa faveur,
Veille fidèlement sur notre ipséité.
Tiens-t’en strictement à ce qui est en soi ;
Paie ta dette aux réalités ;
N’oublie pas que toi aussi tu es réel —
Dieu te connaît. Avec le monde, sois patient.
Die Sachlichkeit — sich halten an die Sache,
Die Sachlichkeit — sich halten an die Sache,
Die außer uns ihr eignes Dasein hat.
Und dazu kommt des Herzens heilges Strahlen —
Etwas von uns; der Herr, in seiner Huld,
Hält über unsre Selbstheit treulich Wache.
Halte dich streng an das, was an sich ist;
Zahle den Wirklichkeiten deine Schuld;
Vergesse nicht, dass auch du wirklich bist —
Gott kennt dich. Mit der Welt, habe Geduld.
