Autumn Leaves & The Ring-Parable
There came a minstrel who sang of love;
There came a minstrel who sang of love;
He stood before the door of my house.
He sang a song that pierced my heart —
The winds all ceased to blow.
So it is when God’s Love appears,
And seeks to open the door of our soul
With a grace that heals our heart —
The winds of the world-illusion stand still.
Vint un barde qui chantait l’amour ;
Vint un barde qui chantait l’amour ;
Es kam ein Barde, der von Liebe sang;
Es kam ein Barde, der von Liebe sang;
Und unsrer Seele Türe öffnen will,
Mit einer Gnade, die dem Herzen frommt —
Des Welttrugs Winde stehen still.
