The wise man is supposed to teach the seeker —
The wise man is supposed to teach the seeker —
Inwardly he may be consumed with grief
In this world. But then comes a gentle word
From Heaven: whatever thy world may be,
Peace approaches, the nightmare goes away —
For vincit omnia Veritas. The Right existed
Before illusion; God’s powers approach.
And this is taken from a sacred scripture:
“Verily, after hardship cometh ease” —
Whatever idle earth-deceit may have brought before.

Intérieurement, il se consumerait plutôt de chagrin
En ce monde. Mais alors une douce parole
Arrive du Ciel : quel que soit ton monde,
La Paix approche, le cauchemar s’en
Car vincit omnia Veritas. Ce qui est juste
Précéda l’illusion ; les puissances de Dieu approchent.
Et ceci est extrait d’une Sainte Ecriture :
« En vérité, après le difficile viendra le facile » —
Quoi qu’apportât d’abord la vaine illusion terrestre.

In dieser Welt. Doch dann kommt mildes Wort
Vom Himmel her: was deine Welt auch sei,
Der Friede naht, der Albdruck geht
Denn vincit omnia Veritas. Das Rechte
War vor dem Trug; es nahen Gottes Mächte.
Und dies ist einer Heilgen Schrift entnommen:
„Wahrlich, nach Schwerem wird das Leichte kommen“ —
Was eitler Erdentrug zuvor auch brächte.
