Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-CI

In the Face of God, I seek to know nothing —

In the Face of God, I seek to know nothing —

For what I should know, God knows it best.

The Most High’s Wisdom contains the essence of things,

It encompasses the world, from east to west —

From the first day to the last hour.

The “I” is like the moon, now big, now small;

The sun remains true to itself — God is pure Being.

In the Face of God, I can lack nothing —

So let joy delight in Joy.

L’ego est comme la lune, est grand et petit ;

Das Ich ist wie der Mond, ist groß und klein;
