Reason, sentiment, imagination and memory:
Reason, sentiment, imagination and memory:
They are, in the ego, the legacy of the pure Spirit —
North, South, East, West. These are the faculties
That lead soul and body through earthly life.
They are contained within the Self of the Creator,
They are, in the world, the driving forces:
Wisdom, love, creative power, and then
Peace; blessèd the soul that has attained it.

Ils sont un legs du pur Intellect dans l’ego —
Nord, sud, est et ouest. Ce sont là les facultés
Qui mènent âme et corps à travers la vie terrestre.
Et elles sont contenues dans le Soi du Créateur,
Sont les puissances agissantes dans le monde :
Sagesse et Amour, Puissance créatrice et puis
La Paix ; heureuse l’âme qui l’a obtenue.

Sie sind im Ich des reinen Geists Vermächtnis —
Nord, Süd, Ost, West. Dies sind die Fähigkeiten
Die Seel und Leib durchs Erdenleben leiten.
Und sie sind in des Schöpfers Selbst enthalten,
Sind in der Welt die wirkenden Gewalten:
Weisheit und Liebe, Schöpferkraft und dann
Der Friede; wohl der Seel, die ihn gewann.
