Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XLV
There is a mysticism of love, which lives from sacrifice;
There is a mysticism of love, which lives from sacrifice;
So the Apostle Paul. And there is a mysticism of knowledge,
As Plato taught, which tends toward beauty.
Forget not the breadth of Divine Truth:
Each spiritual way partakes of the other —
On every side thou findest the Good.
Il y a la mystique d’Amour, qui vit de sacrifice ;
Il y a la mystique d’Amour, qui vit de sacrifice ;
Tel saint Paul.
Es gibt die Liebesmystik, die vom Opfer lebt;
Es gibt die Liebesmystik, die vom Opfer lebt;
So Paulus. Und es gibt Erkenntnismystik,
Wie Plato lehrte — die zur Schönheit strebt.
Vergesset nicht der Gotteswahrheit Weite:
Jedwelcher Geistesweg hat teil am andern —
Das Gute findest du auf jeder Seite.
