And Frithjof Schuon (1907-1998), considered by Jean Biès as “the great metaphysician of the twentieth century”. Author of some twenty works, all dealing with the religio perennis – most of them written in French and translated into several languages – and a remarkable painter, he composed in the last years of his life some 3500 poems in German, his mother tongue.
In this way, he poured out his spiritual wine, which, in a form that is both simple and concise, intends to reveal its infinite richness and depth.
