World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XCV
The morning dawns — the new day is here.
The morning dawns — the new day is here.
What will happen? Do not ask this question;
Say: God; and the essential has been done.
There is nothing else, only the torment of universal
Even though the Lord may send thee many consolations;
If only the meaning of thine existence be
That one carry Paradise in one’s heart.
L’aube frissonne — voici le jour nouveau.
L’aube frissonne — voici le jour nouveau.
Que se passera-t-il ? Ne pose point la question ;
Dis : Dieu.
Même si le Seigneur peut t’envoyer mainte consolation ;
Was wird geschehen? Stelle nicht die Frage;
Sprich: Gott.
Auch wenn der Herr dir manchen Trost mag schicken;
Wenn dir nur deines Daseins Sinn will glücken —
Dass man das Paradies im Herzen trage.
