Here-below and hereafter — two different worlds,

Not only as earth and Heaven, but also

In this earthly life: the outward and the inward —

Refuge in the inward is the wise man’s way.

The question is where my I is to be found:

Among men, where I must dream —

Or in the Sign that links us to God.
