Adastra and Stella Maris: Poems by Frithjof Schuon-The One
O man, consider that which thou canst not avoid:
O man, consider that which thou canst not avoid:
Thou wilt, O soul arrive before the One —
It waits for thee; sooner or later
Thou wilt see, not the many, but the One.
Yet this One is neither poverty nor want,
It is the All, the gate of Paradise —
The fullness of God, which begets existence
And gives it life
In the beginning was the Word.
