Nobility and Greatness — the primordial dream of lofty souls.

First starting-point, then goal: what we choose in our heart

Should unfold in the course of our life.

And then the arts that delight the soul:

Poetry, music and dance; to austere Truth

Belong the beautiful and the noble, which rejuvenate —

Just as the gopîs were Krishna’s joy.

Architecture, dress, and craftsmanship too,

Are heavenly gifts — cultivate them

With a wakeful spirit, understanding what they teach.

What is useful and beautiful — upon them blessing rests.

Noblesse et Grandeur — rêve originel des âmes élevées.

D’abord point de départ, puis but : au cours de la vie

Doit s’épanouir le choix de notre cœur.

Et puis les arts qui réjouissent l’âme :

Poésie, musique et danse ; à l’austère Vérité

Appartient le beau, le noble, qui rajeunit —

Tout comme les gopis furent les joies de Krishna.

Architecture, vêtement, artisanat aussi,

Sont un don céleste — cultivez-les,

L’esprit vigilant, comprenant ce qu’ils enseignent ;

Ce qui est utile et beau — c’est là que la bénédiction se pose !

Adel und Größe — Urtraum hoher Seelen.

Erst Ausgangspunkt, dann Ziel: im Lebenslauf

Soll sich entfalten, was im Herz wir wählen.

Und dann die Künste, die die Seel erfreuen:

Dichtung, Musik und Tanz; zum herben Wahren

Gehört das Schöne, Edle, das verjüngt —

So wie die Gopis Krishnas Freuden waren.

Baukunst, Gewandung, dann auch Kunstgewerbe,

Sind himmlisches Geschenk — ihr sollt sie pflegen

Mit wachem Geist, verstehend, was sie lehren;

Was nützt und schön ist — darauf ist der Segen!
