Autumn Leaves & The Ring-Fâtihah

The path of those whom Thy mercy protects,

Not of those whom Thy wrath’s thunderbolt will strike,

Nor of the poor souls that are led astray

And walk the path of error.” — This everyone prays;

And why? Because pride threatens every heart;

And then, because every soul can err —

Pride and error are the misery of mankind.

And the path of those who find Mercy?

Man’s archetype can tell of it —

Humility and Truth: the foundation of thy striving —

From thine earliest years until the final hour.

Des primes années jusqu’à la dernière heure.

Des Menschen Urbild könnte es verkünden —

Demut und Wahrheit: deines Strebens Grund —

Von frühsten Jahren bis zur letzten Stund.
