Autumn Leaves & The Ring-Rebirth
Many a man indeed is born by chance,
Many a man indeed is born by chance,
And by chance all too many will die.
But it can happen that they meet God,
And thus inherit the crown of human
And out of chance comes necessity;
Whoever binds himself to God, he has to be.
He is as if born anew out of the Most High —
The Lord will forgive the smallest one his nothingness.
Bien des hommes sont nés par hasard ;

Par hasard, par trop mourront.
Il peut arriver qu’ils rencontrent Dieu
Et héritent ainsi la couronne de la dignité
Et du hasard jaillit la
Celui qui se relie à Dieu, il doit être.
Il est comme né à nouveau de Dieu
Au plus petit, le Seigneur pardonnera son néant.

Es kann geschehen, dass sie Gott begegnen
Und so die Kron der Menschenwürde
Und aus dem Zufall wird Notwendigkeit;
Wer sich mit Gott verbindet, der muss sein.
Er ist aus Gott heraus wie
Dem Kleinsten wird der Herr sein Nichts verzeihn.
