Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XXIV
Confucius taught that everything is reason
Confucius taught that everything is reason
And magnanimity. First, universal reason
With its nobility; then the State, which is wise
And noble; and then man in his own fashion.
In Islam, this spirit is combined
With a religion of the love of God;
Prayer at God-appointed
And the spiritualization of our God-created instincts.
Avec une religion de l’amour de Dieu ;
Mit einer Religion der Gottesliebe;
Gebet zu gottgewollten Tagesstunden —
Vergeistigung der gottgeschaffnen Triebe.
