Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-CXIX
For Jesus, the Divine Creator was the Father;
For Jesus, the Divine Creator was the Father;
He himself, the Avatâra, was the Son —
And God within man was the Holy Ghost;
Salvation, Heaven, was the reward of faith.
What Jesus said was for him experience:
He himself was the Word, the Book, the Revelation.
What came after him, was not the “I” of a messiah;
Islam came as religion as such
And was the final form of the first Dharma.
Every Word of God is a norm of life.
Pour Jésus, le Dieu Créateur était le Père ;
Pour Jésus, le Dieu Créateur était le Père ;
Lui-même, l’Avatâra, était le Fils —
Et Dieu dans l’homme était le Saint-Esprit ;
Le salut, le Ciel, était récompense de la foi.
Ce que Jésus prêcha lui était expérience :
Lui-même était Verbe, était Livre, était Révélation.
Ce qui suivit n’était point l’ego du Messie ;
L’Islam vint comme religion en soi
Et fut la forme finale du Premier Dharma.
Toute Parole divine est norme de vie.
Für Jesum war der Schöpfergott der Vater;
Für Jesum war der Schöpfergott der Vater;
Er selbst, der Avatāra, war der Sohn —
Und Gott im Menschen war der Heilge Geist;
Das Heil, der Himmel, war des Glaubens Lohn.
Was Jesus redete, war ihm Erfahrung:
Er selbst war Wort, war Buch, war Offenbarung.
Was folgte, war nicht des Messias Ich;
Der Islam kam als Religion an sich
Und war des Ersten Dharma letzte Form.
Jedwelches Gotteswort ist Lebensnorm.
