Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XII
It is said that God dwells in the highest Heaven:
It is said that God dwells in the highest Heaven:
This means that honor is due to Him alone;
That He, the Lord, is on His throne above all
For, compared with Him, even Heaven is emptiness.
God also dwells within creation, so to speak;
Otherwise it would collapse into nothingness.
He also dwells in the heart of those who are
The wind of the Spirit blows where God wills.
Cette parole veut dire qu’à Lui seul est la gloire ;
Dieu demeure aussi dans la création, pour ainsi dire ;
Dies Wort will heißen, das nur Ihm die Ehre;
Gott wohnt auch in der Schöpfung, so zu sprechen;
Sonst würde sie zu nichts zusammenbrechen.
Im Herzen derer auch, die weise sind —
Da wo Gott will, da weht des Geistes Wind.
