“Verily, My mercy precedeth
“Verily, My mercy precedeth
My wrath.” It cannot be otherwise:
Without the world, Allah’s wrath would not be;
Without the wrath, what would there be to pardon?

Ma Colère. » Il ne peut en être autrement :
Sans le monde, point de colère d’Allah non plus ;
Sans la colère, qu’y aurait-il à pardonner ?

Vor Meinem Zorn.“ Es kann nicht anders sein:
Ohne die Welt wär auch nicht Allahs Zorn;
Ohne den Zorn, was gäb es zu verzeihn?
