Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XXXI
It is strange how venerable ancient cultures
It is strange how venerable ancient cultures
Suddenly collapse — end of the story.
How is this possible? Because, in a world
Of foolishness, men who are too far removed
From their traditional origins, become tired of their dignity.
A sanctuary that suddenly falls into
A beautiful myth that fades into nothingness.
