World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-CXXV
Wisdom is more than human — this is true,
Wisdom is more than human — this is true,
But man always remains man. He may struggle
In order to be more than a mere
No wise man can jump over his ego.
It is true that the Pure Spirit is
Aliquid increatum: Intellectus;
May God make thee conscious
Of what thou knowest in thy deepest heart.
L’homme reste toujours homme. Il a beau lutter
Pour être plus qu’une simple créature —
Nul sage ne peut outrepasser son ego.
Vrai : le pur Intellect est incréé —
Aliquod increatum : Intellectus ;
Aliquod increatum: Intellectus;
Gott mög dir gnädig zum Bewusstsein bringen
Was du im tiefsten Herzensgrunde weißt.
