Profane philosophers say
That one should think without presuppositions,
But this is impossible;
They fall into the trap of a skepticism that leads nowhere.
Not so the sage — deep within his heart speaks
The luminous and uncreated Truth of the Self.
On devrait penser sans hypothèse,

Non point le sage — au profond du cœur parle
La Lumière incréée de la Vérité du Soi.
Ohne Voraussetzungen sollt man denken,
Ohne Voraussetzungen sollt man denken,
Jedoch man kann es nicht — das meinen alle
Profanen Philosophen; doch sie gehn
Der Skepsis, die zu nichts führt, in die Falle.
Nicht so der Weise — tief im Herzen spricht
Des Selbstes unerschaffnes Wahrheitslicht.
