World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-XLII

With the saint there is, in a sense, more suffering —

With the saint there is, in a sense, more suffering —

And thus more patience — than with others;

He cannot clothe himself in easy lies —

He cannot wander through life without God;

Likewise, in holiness there is more happiness.

Be selfless — and do not look back on the naught.

Et par là même plus de patience — que chez les autres ;

Il ne peut sans Dieu parcourir la vie ;

Und somit mehr Geduld — als bei den Andern;

Er kann nicht ohne Gott durchs Leben wandern;
