World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XIX

Firstly, thou must remain faithful to thyself;

Firstly, thou must remain faithful to thyself;

In another respect, thou must progress and change.

A good disposition ought to bear fruit;

A bad one, thou must cast out of thy soul.

This is why thou art a wanderer on earth —

Let thine action sing the praise of the Most High.

Le premier rapport : tu dois rester fidèle à toi-même ;

Le premier rapport : tu dois rester fidèle à toi-même ;

Le second : tu dois progresser, devenir autrement.

Une bonne disposition doit porter des fruits ;

Une mauvaise, tu dois la bannir de ton âme.

C’est à cette fin que tu es un voyageur sur terre —

Et laisse ton action chanter les louanges du Très-haut.

Erste Beziehung: du musst treu dir bleiben;

Erste Beziehung: du musst treu dir bleiben;

Zweite: du musst fortschreiten, anders werden.

Gute Veranlagung muss Früchte bringen;

Schlechte musst du aus deiner Seele treiben.

Deshalb bist du ein Wanderer auf Erden —

Und lass dein Tun das Lob des Höchsten singen.
