The yogî says: appearances are nothing —

Only the Real should be real for us.

The man who sees not that God also dwells

In appearances, has no sense of God’s presence.

Qui ne voit pas Dieu dans l’apparence aussi.

Der Yogī spricht: Was Schein ist, das ist nichts —

Das Wirkliche nur soll uns wirklich sein.

An Sinn für Gottes Gegenwart gebricht’s

Dem Mann, der nicht sieht, dass Gott auch im Schein.
