World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XXVII
One sometimes forgets who one is —
One sometimes forgets who one
The I becomes dispersed, and is no longer itself.
Be not caught up in the daily to-and-
Thou wilt find thyself anew in the Divine;
In Him alone, and certainly nowhere
The alpha and omega are in the remembrance of God;
It will re-kindle thy love-song to God.
C’est dans le Divin que tu te retrouveras ;
En Lui seul, certes pas ailleurs —
Le Souvenir de Dieu est l’alpha et l’oméga ;
Im Göttlichen wirst du dich wieder finden;
In Ihm allein, gewiss nicht anderswo —
Das Gottgedenken ist das A und O;
Es wird die Gottesminne neu entzünden.
