Sentiment and passion animate the spirit of Jews and Arabs;
Everything is based
On faith and will.
India tends towards the pure Intellect —
Profoundly conscious
Of the eternal Real.
Reason alone remained for the West —
It yielded to outward appearances.
Something of each should be in every soul.

L’Inde tend
Au pur Intellect — profondément conscient
Du Réel Eternel.
La raison seule
Resta à l’Occident — il succomba à l’apparence.
De chaque élément toute âme doit tenir.
