World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XXXVII

In our time, the ability to discern

In our time, the ability to discern

Is minimal; one scarcely distinguishes

Between worth and worthlessness, between great and small —

Under the wilted tree, everything seems the same.

Lost is the Spirit’s eagle-eye —

There are no longer criteria by which to judge.

In unsrer Zeit; man unterscheidet kaum
